For sheer ability to do stuff and discuss things, it'd be Off Topic. Which is something I feel a bit of shame for, since it doesn't really have a great reputation all the time.

If not there, then Games, which is similar but usually calmer.
And I like Creativity, but I don't get involved much. Gallery is the same.

None of us really know for sure anymore.
I believe Wedge is the only person who has talked about them, but he doesn't have full access to all of them.
He describes there being 6 that he can see, plus 2 he can't.
But this might have changed, since this was about 2 and a half years ago. And in that time we've had changes to the Moderator team, Greenlight, Steam and more.

Could be. But I would've imagined such a topic would be created by Kompressor or Badspot.
Then again, Rotondo might just have started the topic when he was brought in on the discussion.

Kompressor publically announced the Shadows/Shader update in February 2012.
Wedge wouldn't have been doing any favours (or harm) by keeping that topic title a secret.

It was probably something else, like the hats update or another project. It might not have even worked out in the end. You'd have to ask Rotondo to shed light on it.
