Author Topic: What performance do you get on Blockland and what are your specs?  (Read 5237 times)

mm I thought the 970 would be better than that.

Keep in mind that far more bricks were on screen than there would normally be, even while building a large build, and that the FPS was completely stable. It's also probably worth mentioning that I have no idea how performance scales past that point, or even below that point, it's entirely possible that the GTX 970 can run Blockland at 60FPS past 200k, 300k or maybe even 400k bricks. I wouldn't know since I don't have enough builds that I can load to find out.

Speaking of fps, has anyone else's fps doubled since the update? I'm getting 200-300 with shaders off, 100-200 on max shaders and 60-90 on soft/ultra shaders. I tested this on a server with a little over 11,000 bricks. It's really odd.

i kan play max eryting with no probs

I got a stuffty laptop, but runs decently in most servers with minimum shaders (all other options minimal except for textures, which is maximum)

i hate when people complain they have a bad computer

5+ years old but definitely not bad. Minor upgrades here and there over the years...
*cough Xeon mod cough*

Also, what are the odds?

30-40 FPS with shaders on and solid 60 FPS with them off.

CPU: Xeon 5460 3.16GHz overclocked to 3.8GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR2
Graphics: Radeon 7770 @ 1920x1080

Edit: After doing some actual tests. ~13FPS rendering ~150k bricks on max shaders. ~30FPS rendering ~150K bricks with shaders off.

Around 180 with shaders turned off and just over 60 FPS with max shaders and a high brick count

AMD FX 8350
Radeon r9 290
16GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM

This is my legit computer info.  No fakery going on here.  No sirree.

Seriously, it's trivially easy to fake this stuff.  There's not much advantage to posting an image over posting text.

How's this then? http://www.passmark.com/baselines/V8/display.php?id=33378446544

Don't mind the 150MHz clock speed difference. Wasn't stable enough running that high.

I get 12 FPS on max shaders, looking at 6900 bricks. If you have a desktop computer, I would suggest getting this video card.
AMD Radeon™ R9 Series Graphics. Yeah, It is pricey, but it is worth the money. My brother nick has one, and I asked him to test something. He launched 17 different flash games, 24 different steam games, and blockland on Ultra Soft shaders. Had 73 FPS, and all games were on max quality. So yeah, this is probably one of the best Video cards I have ever seen. If you have a laptop, lol. Switch to desktop. here is a desktop computer I recommend and Currently have. This graphics card isnt great, but its memory is superior.
