Author Topic: how did five nights at freddy's ever reach its popularity  (Read 1767 times)

i do not play the game, nor do i have the intentions to. the story, however, is quite interesting. i have a theory that there were 3 freddy fazbear's in the chain, the diner, and the 2 pizzeria's. i wonder if anybody else has this kind of theory.
this is the most popular theory, because the phone guy outright says that there was a place that shut down before the one in FNAF2.
the best theory is the one in Game Theory's FNAF2 video, because i found out from that that there were actually FOUR places. the diner and the pizzeria that came before aren't actually the same place. there was another pizzeria that came before the one in FNAF2, and the family diner came before that one. note that the diner was referred to as Fazbear's diner, implying that freddy was the only character that was in the diner at the time. the other animatronics were created for the pizzeria that came after, which is the one that came before the pizzeria in FNAF2

just watch the video

the first game was a good concept, although made kinda poorly. the second one was way better. it's a good idea and like it or not good ideas can get popular

i thought i was special :(

I heard people liked it because the jump scares were there if you screwed up not just at random, hell I remember talking about it with my friend when it showed up on /v/.

Also I gotta say the story is pretty interesting, Scott is doing a good job.

Btw it also had a small price tag, so that adds to it aswell

thing is the first game was good, and the second game was okay. now there are in talks of a third one, and that's a big red flag to me that he's using this as a cash cow. the games will only continue to get more insignificant.

what? the second game improved on the first in every way. It was what a sequel should be.

except there's story that needs clearing up so a third's gotta be made

and then its going to be designed that there is more story, and then more story, etc.

The game completely lost its charm for me when people came up with the dead children conspiracy. I don't know why, but mixing paranormal activity with science fiction just doesn't feel right.

I hope scott plans to use Fnaf as only a means of getting funds for a sequel to The Desolate Hope.

that game Annoying Oranges all of his projects but failed commercially.

Since when is FNAF science fiction

apparently, the entire story is based on a quadruple homicide.

works for me
i enjoy it personally

It still doesn't feel right. As more and more theories popped up the game got less and less scary for me. It's a lot more terrifying when you know virtually nothing about what's attacking you.

but it brings people together to figure out why it happened. you can thank people like aristotle for that.
