pewdiepie and markiplier probably

horror games are kinda popular right now, and popular youtubers played it.

this being said, the most interesting part of it (to me) is its story. it's very intricate, and there are still tons of theories and ideas that are being passed around. there will probably be another game, and it'll probably be another prequel.
calm down on the topics, and don't make them if you plan on locking them soon after nvm, thought you were about to lock the thread.

Well that's your opinion.

A lot of others find the game to be interesting. Maybe even nostalgic for the old 90's style graphics. A lot of others may find it fun because it's a horror game that isn't really meant to keep you stuffting yourself for weeks on end (ala amnesia), and will give you a few good hours of fun instead. It's a simple game to get around too, so a lot more people will pick it up and play it. It also got advertised out the wazoo by YouTube personalities, so more people would've wanted to try it. It's not that hard to piece together why so many people enjoy it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be enjoyed by others.

IT is different and people saw it and where interested. Pewdiepie, Markiplier and other youtube gamers did bring it to the spot light though.

Your question was answered by the above quote. Anything they do instantly goes popular. If they said that jumping in front of cars was cool people would do it.

not what I was getting at

it can be enjoyed for all others for all I care, I just don't see how it reached that popularity

It just got known by a couple of people and it spread. Simple as that.

it has already been explained to you. youtubers that have a lot of fans played it, and it spread around. the internet is infectious, and i have a feeling that you haven't even tried the game (though i haven't either. horror games aren't my interest).

i do not play the game, nor do i have the intentions to. the story, however, is quite interesting. i have a theory that there were 3 freddy fazbear's in the chain, the diner, and the 2 pizzeria's. i wonder if anybody else has this kind of theory.

No, that is exactly what you're getting at.

You're just not reading it because it's not something you agree with.
