Is this a good microphone for its price?

I've been looking for a reasonably cheep microphone that is better than my current one which is a stick microphone (similar to this) from the 1990s. I wanted to know if this is a good microphone, I've seen/watched reviews on youtube that say its good for a portable microphone. If this isn't necessarily good for example, a Skype call, then could any of you guys recomend a reasonably priced ok or good quality microphone? (Budget is $100 at the most) Thanks.

Edit: I've also been looking at the Blue Snowball which seems like a better bet.

I have a snowball and it is an absolute darling of a microphone.
The only partial downside to it is its ability to detect everything around 360, so if you have computer speakers behind your microphone and use them while talking, the microphone will pick them up way too much in comparison to a normal, forward facing microphone.

I usually use headphones so I don't think that'll be a problem, but will it also pick up the computer fan easily?

Depends if the fan sounds like a broken bike transmission or just runs silently.
While it does have 360 degrees of range, sound it picks up from the front are stronger. So unless it's in the direct wind stream of a fan, you should be fine.

he just wants a mic for casual stuff, not for musical stuff. Plus their USB mics are in the $200 range and I doubt OP is gonna get a mic pre + audio interface just for skype
