Author Topic: The "Help Me Figure Out My New Years Resolution" Thread  (Read 773 times)

Up until now, I've never really understood the point of, or stuck to new years resolutions. This year, I've got a lot I'd like to achieve, but I'd rather work on one thing and do really well at it over do a million things and not achieve any.

In this thread, let's try help each other figure out what we should achieve over the next year. All you have to do is post some stuff about you (your health, things you like to do, how your school is going blah blah blah), and you also need to give a suggestion to the user above you on what they should do (you don't have to use their description of their situation unless you don't know them that well).

Blockland Forums, next year you should more on being less hostile to the newbies.

I've got Internship and Major Project coming up next. I'm infamous for starting massive projects that are the first of their kind, and then failing because I suck at planning, motivating myself and sticking to schedules. My health is constantly going down, but I actually have a job and if I can get some cash I can pay for the surgery I need to fix my sinuses. I don't have any video games of mine publicly released, so it would be nice to put something out there for the reputation and the cash. I haven't had a successful relationship yet (nothing over 6 months), but I've got a bunch of girls at college hitting on me. My friend from Sweden is leaving at the end of the year, so I want to arrange a business deal with him professional. I'd also like to spend more time with him.

What should I focus on most?

I made an account yesterday, and have received the opposite of flak. I don't know how it usually goes; but I love the community here. Well, I guess I only really interacted with the artist community, but you know what I mean.

Idk, be less impatient for things that I order online

I thought that was pretty smart lol
Yeah maybe the first time people heard it, which was soooo many years ago

Anyways new years resolutions are stupid
If you want to change yourself, then do it.
The people who wait for a certain day to do it so they can make a big announcement about it are the people who don't actually do it

I prefer to set goals for myself.  News years resolutions are stupid.  They can only be made one day of the year but can be broken whenever.  Goals can be set whenever and can't be broken only achieved

my new years resolution is to actually finish a project
