What do you expect a Torque build system to do?

I've been interested in swapping from Smultron to Sublime Text, but Smultron has a in-package Torque Script build that does things like:

It makes code easier to read and offers many customization options to have different colors for variables, commands, keywords etc. I was simply wondering if something of the sort existed for Sublime.
