I have Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, should I use something else? Adobe is pretty reliable so I have them 2.
What kind of music?
party / electric kinda stuff

Start off with FL Studio.

It's ultra easy, presentable and is usable for most genres of music.

Then, once you feel you're ready, move on to something like SONAR by Cakewalk.

Honestly, DAWs are not something easy to work with, they take years of practice and you'll find hours of frustration through them. Though if you need any help, PM me and I'll help you.

i could try to make album covers for you

i got ableton as my first daw a year ago and its great
also there's no way you can find a good workflow using two DAWs at the same time, just pick one or the other*

edit: * i mean as a beginner, I know there are people who use multiple daws

Sure I guess, I'll make one for the first one and see if i like it. If not I can let you make them

I loving hate Abelton so much. It's convoluted as forget for simple tasks. I guess it's decent as a sampler but for something like recording real instruments, it's a stuff fest. REAPER is an excellent program. It's essentially free (basically WinRar). The interface is pretty clean and straightforward. The pro "upgrade" for me would be Cubase.

This will be your best bet

I personally use milkytracker and audacity because I'm trying to become a music magic wizard but I do not suggest doing this at all
