I did an entire loving paper on how the Internet and texting are not detrimental to language and now I'm going to college for linguistics. AHEM. Oh I'm so loving tired about people fighting over the word "bae". Slang terms come and slang terms go. "Bae" did not originate from a misspelling (and there actually is no such thing as misspelling because "correct" spelling is relative and changes over time) but was an urban black vernacular term that caught on on the Internet.
