A Blockland News Channel...

Eheh, What if instead of looking through 3-5 pages of topics on each board, we just have one thread that posts a video each day that talks about the latest Blockland news, and it has the dramatic music and stuff. This could be done but I guess we'd need a small group.

I literally spend all day after school on the pc, Perhaps if I had one or two other volunteers we could do it. I have Sony Vegas 8.1 if that helps.

A news video is a serious voice, text, overly-dramatic music, annoying diagrams that nobody cares about and focusing on fat people in the street.

When you put it that way, it sounds quite interesting. I'd actually like to see that happen, now. Possibly if there's enough people, give them each certain jobs like an actual Newscast, or blatantly spoof news channels, but just with Blockland.

If I went ahead with this I would give them specific jobs, how should I try to do it? Should I sort of flash the topic at the start for a few seconds and then have a blocklander doing the type animation. you know like, most of it is video/voice, but some of it you see the actual topic?

I would start with gathering info of actual news casts (if this is your plan), or just get the basic jobs that're blatantly obvious (if there isn't enough people and/or previous statement isn't your plan) and make an application form.

If this is gonna be an actual thing, you should bring in competent people! Though since this could (and seems quite possibly going to) be something silly, I could see the guidelines being a bit relaxed. (That's your call, however!)

As for the actual content, it really depends on your style, and what is being over viewed, if there is an actual server report going on, actual server footage can be attained and possibly PiP'd on the screen, much like an actual newscast. You could even bring in a reporter in certain cases.
