looking for non resource hog screen recorder

ok so I tried using OBS and it didnt drop any frames in unturned or CS:S but for some reason when I record minecraft it drops to like 20 fps.  Does anyone know of some free recording software that wont cause a drop in framerate?

any recording software will cause a performance hit in some way. minecraft is already a pretty demanding game at times, which is likely why you're seeing more of a slowdown compared to better-optimised titles

I would say unturned is less optimized than minecraft and I suffered no drop in framerate whatsoever so i dont know whats going on.

p sure unturned runs on unity

prob does but i still usually get higher framerates in minecraft than I do unturned.  Guess I'll just have to wait until I get my R9 290.

XSplit GameCaster or XSplit BroadCaster <---- for Twitch so
GameCaster is a really good one for recording and streaming games, and its already integrated with Twitch, so you just sign into your Twitch and just start broadcasting. I find it pretty useful because its fast and everything. No drops.

i got textures and stuff for CSS free on a website and they work perfectly bro im not spending money on something i basically have a free version of already

MSI Afterburner. It's more than just a screen recording tool, so it might be a little confusing at first, but it works really well. Works better than OBS did for me.
