Author Topic: How do make blockland as fun as it was when i first played it?  (Read 2420 times)

i want to feel that feeling again, playing a fun new game. yeah that feel.
how do i have that feeling again?

lol

i guess if you're serious you have to figure out what you actually like about the game on a fundamental level and find a way to experience that in a new way. if you've been playing the same game for a really long time it's probably going to be hard to make it feel like new. you're probably kinda tired of it and that's not necessarily a bad thing, just do something with that knowledge.

I think i feel the same way as you do.

I remember the way it was back when I was like 12 and I would host a server and I'd get like 10 random people on.

I remember we had some stuffty city rp's and a mythbusters rp and they were pretty good.

now all the 12 year olds I meet ingame are handicapped.

on another note pls avoid "things used to be better." the reason you think it's better is because the experience was fresh and now it's not; it hasn't really changed much. if anything, the game's growing or steady as it's always been. i don't mean to dismiss anyone's opinion by saying that; it just seems a bit 'doomsdayish' and nostalgic for something that hasn't changed

Im not saying that i feel the same with all games. i just want to play blockland but make it a bit more fun as if i played it. ik nothings changed.

make an original server pls

try out new things, look for servers with original concepts or ideas, etc.

Most of the time, I just go on a server with 1-4 people on it. Turns out, most are really fun and I have a good time.

I always bugged the hell out of my dad to help me portforward on our router when I was younger so I can host. He never let me. I just used a little of the portforward tutorial and some random guessing. I built a really cheesy zombie map that was decent in length (never was finished, I found the save on an old hard drive I had in a box outside). I got a hell a lot of people on it for no reason at all... If I remember correctly it was the top joined server for about 25 seconds with 32ish (plus or minus 8ish) people on it. The server crashed literately seconds after that many people joined. I was sad because none of the people came back when it got back up. I've been hosting stuffty servers ever since that day.

EDIT: In other words... go host a cheesy zombie server and some how get lucky to attract 32 people and crash in two seconds...

Good times... Good times...

You'll never have as much fun as you did playing Blockland for the first time.
