You should have had a case. I'm not saying you're careless, but the iPhone 6 easily bends. With a good, hard case, it shouldn't bend as easily.
It will also prevent it from being damaged in the rare case where you do drop it.
Tempered glass is cool too. stuff takes a hammer beating directly and only the tempered glass gets damaged. (it goes over your current screen, like those adhesive screen protectors)
