why doesn't badspot use the 2.0 line of SMF?

It would be nice if we could put html5/webm/whatever videos in posts, I don't think that's possible with smf at all though :(

steve made an userscript for that. it works with youtube and soundcloud

There was embedding but some richardfart a few years ago (2008-2010 maybe) said it didn't work in his browser so badspot removed it all together.
A shame.

I think these are all of the features the forums once had.
