I stand as the tanks roll forward. The town is not in view. There are several tanks in the open. Two BT5's, 4 T28's and a T35. Militiamen are crawling around the hostile tanks. Communist party flags hang in the sky.
"Company, permission to engage on site."
I turn to the infantry CO.
"We're entering combat. Stay behind the tanks,"
He nods.
"Alright, infantry, let's go!"
"Driver, hold,"
The vehicles brakes cry in pain. Men pour off the vehicle.
"Gunner, get ready, loader, I want armor piercing!"
"Yessir!" They tell simultaneously.
I stand back up and pull the hatch closed.
