I remember the world post-Tom R. Toe. I remember a time of great sadness and depression, poverty and darkness. An era of repressed masses working jobs that could not support them and their impoverished families. I remember one family I knew as a young boy, and another boy whom I was good friends with until he died of malaria. Death didn't affect me at that point, as I had seen so much of it.
Then, though as if a miracle from god himself, a shimmering light at the end of the tunnel reared it's holy, tomato-y face, and it was enlightening. Freed from the chains that bound humanity, we went on to strive in our age. We touched the stars, reached immortality and ascended to a higher plane of living. Our way of life was changed by this video, giving us a sense of hope. I can remember the first time I watched this video, and at that moment I understood what exactly was to come for my, yours and everyone's future.
I hope the next generations are taught about Tom R. Toe, the singularity, the blessed breakthrough and the greatest invention humanity has ever been blessed to have a hand in creating.
