Most of the specs look good, but Im not familiar with AMD cpus

Also because my birthday is in 5 days my friend thinks I should get a better one (I don't have enough GHz to run COD:WaW)
Here are my options SO FAR (also taking suggestions c: )

He found this one and asked if it was good and who better to ask than blockland!

its... good
the thing is is that you could get the same thing for ~100 pounds less if you bought the parts individually and put it together yourself.

both these builds are pretty bad, i3 cpu, amd cpu? lol, why don't you just build your own? it is an enjoyable experience and a good skill to learn.

My friend doesn't want to build it due to people on youtube having trouble with it.Also it looks like you need tools and I don't have any.Other than that it looks hard :l

how to make a pc:
1. buy parts
2. put parts in the case
3. screw it in with a screwdriver and some stuff
4. install windows
5. done

I think Newegg has a video on how to build a PC. I remember it from another thread like this.

Watching a video on it right now and looks simple, gonna need to see if my dad has the right tools :l
My friend however isn't convinced because Frankieonpc says you're better off buying your own

for that price its a huge ripoff

Would this be good to build?

its good, however
the mobo is... meh, i would find a better one
the stock amd cooler is notorious for being batstuff loud, i would recommend something like an 212 evo
get an ssd if you can, you can boot stuff really fast, however, at this price point it may not be the best idea
also remember that windows 7 is gonna cost you 60 pounds

the best, helped me build my first computer a ton

So, I'm a complete computer n00b and will probably be sent home crying for this post, but if you're not really interested in building a computer (or haven't the know-how), but want something a bit better than the prebuilt you're going to find at PC World, then I recommend PCSpecialist.

They're quite simiar to that RCS website you linked, but I think they look a bit more professional.
They have a lot of great reviews, though.

They were really good when I used them for my Laptop this summer, and I was able to go for a cheaper item and upgrade on the areas I wanted.
And they had near-on next-day delivery once it was dispatched.
And one of the accessories I recieved (a fancy cooling-pad) was broken on delivery, and they had a courier come round the next day and replace it with a working one for free (as you would hope).

Furthermore, they have their own forum where you can discuss your build and share them, getting advice on them.
You can set up a build on their website without purchasing, but save it for a future date, and still get advice in their forum.

People here will probably scoff at the prices, or say it's just soo much easier and cheaper to build it (which I won't deny it probably is), but if you're wanting to go beyond your basic 2-year lifespan Dell pre-built, but don't want to go hunting for parts and nervously fumbling it all together, then I would suggest them as a pretty good middle-ground.
