Ubuntu because of its customizability and other utilities like network testing and home-used servers
Win7 because its compatible with alot of current software and I dont have to do modifying the system crap to get certain programs to run like i have to do with ubuntu

Windows 8.1 has really been the best for me so far.
Still sometimes a little trickier to get around than Windows 7, at least when it comes to have to return to the Metro page, but otherwise I've had fewer problems than with other OS's.

I would like to interject for a moment, what you are referring to as "Linux" is actually GNU/Linux.
