Author Topic: There's a pig in my backyard  (Read 4599 times)

humans are animals. animals hunt to feed their families and survive. you are not killing in vain, you are killing to feed.

Yeah that makes sense if you're a hunter and you live in a cabin in the frontier of loving Alaska but this dude lives in such a densely populated area that letting off a gun is out of the question. Don't get me wrong, I'm no loving hippy, but this pig isn't just some wild boar that belongs to nobody. That might be somebodies income or pet or whatever. You might be about to kill somebody's competition winning pig.

Not just that, but this guy wants to loving kill the thing with a kitchen knife in his backyard. He has no idea what he's doing. Ever heard the expression "bled like a stuck pig"? The thing is going to spray blood all over his back yard and all throughout his house. It'll be messy as forget. Something tells me that if he tries to cook it and eat it he's going to die of E. coli.

that argument holds up a lot better when OP doesn't have a package of lunchmeat in his fridge for whenever he wants it. Literally no reason to be killing his pig in particular, it wouldnt just be inhumane, it would also be dangerous af for OP or his family to try to kill a pig.

the only situation where it would be dangerous is if you stand there long enough to aggravate it. walk up slowly and hover the gun above its skull, and shoot. no hassle, hardly any risks.

however, you got to remember that humans share food, and another human shared their food, he's just storing it

this argument makes perfect sense, you know
what..?

Using guns is already out of the question for OP. He wants to use a loving knife.

Killing it is a handicapped idea. It's livestock and someone probably owns it and you could get in some serious loving stuff for killing it, and to top it off it could have some strain of vaginitis or some outrageous stuff like that.

And besides I see no viable reason to just kill it for the simple idea of saving a few dollars.

Though more likely than not I'm just getting really agitated by this because I had one as a pet before and it was the chillest thing I have ever come in contact with.

may pose more of a risk, but a quick slit will get it done. you would probably have to run from it a bit until it loses enough blood to fall over. hope he has a razor sharp knife.

calm down guys

he didn't get on the Internet to decide whether it's good to kill another living sentient being

he came to blogland

what..?Using guns is already out of the question for OP. He wants to use a loving knife.

well think of it like this

you killed a chicken, and you gave someone a drumstick for 50 cents

someone killed a pig, made lunch meat and sold it for $2 for you

yeah good luck with that

I still don't see your point. Are you trying to say that OP should try to kill pig in his backyard and sell it? I hope you realize how stupid that sounds.

i come from a family of farmers, they tell me how they kill livestock. btw, you can kill any animal that's on your property, even if it be someone else's animal.

nevermind

i agree with you on the fact that someone owns it but you realize after the competitions they slaughter them too right

Get it on a leash and sell it to a farmer

Keyword: After the competition. Like I said, I'm not some hippy animal rights activist, I don't give a stuff about the pig, I care about the people who might potentially own the pig or need it.
