School got canceled, For raining.....

I don't know but I woke up and heard that school was canceled, I looked outside and it is sprinkling... WTF?
Maybe because last night there was a warning for freezing rain but It isn't frozen outside. It is just small sprinkles and now major flooding or hail.... SCHOOL, GET YO stuff TOGETHER ! Actually, I am very comfortable in home, you keep doin' as you please...

The only things that'll close my school are snow and power outages, and since they're predicting no snow this year (again), and the school is in the next town over that doesn't have power outages very often, my hopes aren't high this year

I live 30 miles from the border of Maryland, DC is like 35 miles

Did they specifically say that it was on account of the rain?

Could be that the school flooded.
Or a seperate issue. My school once closed, seemingly on account of the rain, because their mains water-pipe burst and was flooding parts of the school.

Could be anything else is damaged too, like their heating.
Or the weather isn't bad where YOU or the school are, but is in outlying areas, and several teachers/staff just can not get in today.

Yep, They said "Due to Freezing rains school will be closed today" It isn't freezing rain outside...
