Author Topic: Bye Bye, Windows 7  (Read 18571 times)

like everyone at my house except my sister runs windows 7. my sister runs 8.1 on her gaming laptop and had done little more than bitch about it.

when i get a new computer this year i hope to get it with windows 10, because while i love windows 7 to death, i think it's high time for an upgrade after using this thing for 6 years.

I heard that Windows 10 will be a free update from Windows 8.1. Anyone know if that's true?
Kinda pageloss maybe idk.

look on page 8, we literally talked about that one page ago

I'm using windows 7, thinking about replacing it soon though because on blockland, I can't go to max draw distance as it will lag the crap out of me.
Using a laptop, any solutions?

Not much your operating system is going to do to effect a third-parties performance...

your laptop is a stuff

windows 8.1 master race
that paired with startisback+ and you got a great operating system

I'm going to try to hold out until Windows 10 releases.

Oh wait, I'll be building a new PC by then.

Welp I'm still stuck here with Windows 7 and not enough money to get  8. I'll just wait out for Windows 10 and if it turns out to be good then I def buy it. assuming I have the money

I installed Windows 10. Looks pretty good so far.

why wouldnt you save up a little more to get windows 8.1

Because Windows 7, according to a lot of people i asked, is a better choice because it has been around so long that programs don't run in to errors as much that are not un-fixable. And that being said, it has good performance and a GUI I really like.

Ill probably buy Windows 8.1 or 10 when 7 is completely cut off from Microsoft.

7 gets the axe for real on January 14th, 2020. You'll probably want to upgrade to Windows 11/12/13/whatever they have by then instead of 8.1 or 10.
