Seriously, what do these morons not understand about "forget off" nobody wants your tampered food.

Scientists don't even know what effects these will have on humans, perhaps they are good? But no bad effects are known, yet. We won't know until people start getting stomach cancer 20 years later.

If we had 100% proof they would not affect anyone then I'd be more accepting, but what scares people is the unknowing of what effects are to come.

In the US there was a study that said that GM crops cause ADHD or ADD in children or something.

People can grow whatever crops they want
I don't care

I would agree with this if only they didn't contaminate everyone else's crops.

Are you able to find that study?
Would be interesting to see.

Especially since ADHD/ADD is often a vaguely diagnosed concept. There's not much to say it's not just a bad behaviour or bad parenting.

Also, that's a very very vague claim, that GM crops cause it. Seeing as how there are lots and lots of different GM crops.

I think individual national governments should have much more control over what they do or do not allow in terms of GMOs.
It shouldn't be left in the hands of the EU, rather than the individual nation itself.

I hope SeventhSandwich and Headcrab Zombie turn up for this. I always love their involvement in these sorts of topics. They're so much better at debating and knowledgable in this area than me.

Couldn't find the study but here is a news article about the pesticide used on the Crops

good to see some sanity coming from that disaster

I bet half of the people against GMO's don't have a loving clue when it comes to genetics.

What is there to genetics apart from inserting some genes from one thing into another? A single change 'could' cause cancerous cells.

there are quite literally thousands of studies all coming to the conclusion that GM crops are safe, in fact, they're much safer than normal crops which can mutant in an uncontrollable fashion

stop accepting the fear mongering of uneducated hippies

Hahaha, oh my god.

Force the processing plants to put a warning labels on all of their GM products.

GM crops aren't terrible as those documents make them, but for those who just don't want to eat GM foods then companies should just put a label with "Not GMO".

The problem comes when GM crops are grown next to non-GM crops...

GM foods are unnatural!

now if you'll excuse me I've got some  dipotassium phosphate, mono and diglycerides, carrageenan, acesulfame potassium and sucralose to enjoy. Mmm, Swiss Miss!
