there's a reason why amiibos are pretty rare in the us but plentiful in europe and japan, it's because nintendo has trouble shipping to america specifically

i'm sure the same things apply here. having all those faceplates would be a nightmare as nintendo can't really get shelf space because amiibo, and you already know how well those are doing in terms of shipping

They should've just done what they did when they upgraded from the Gameboy Color.
3DS Advanced (or similar) would be a better name than "New 3DS".

For starters, you'll never have to say in a few years "I bought a new New 3DS".
Or, "I bought a New 3DS" "Oh, did your old 3DS break?".
