Author Topic: in which the european union lacks a basic understanding of sound currency  (Read 4184 times)

what does this mean?

the euro is becoming a less powerful currency against the dollar (and pretty much every other currency in the world) since people are losing faith in its value

All this time I didn't know Vietnam's currency is called a "dong".
I'm dying

To be fair, there's less of the British pound in circulation world-wide. So price per capita unit, we're looking pretty fabulous.

But on the downside, it is called the "dollar". It just doesn't sound as nice. And "Buck" just sounds dumb.
Whereas Pound, Sterling, Quid, all sound a little more fanciful.

But at least it's not "Euro". It'd be like the USA having the currency "Americos". It'd have to be 50 cents to an Americo though, and you'd have to call them "States".

But the pound is a unit of weight.

Dollar sounds better than sterling or pound.

lol

Fun fact, some new world order conspiracy holds that the United States, Mexico, and Canada should/will form into one giant continental country. Any guesses what the supposed currency would be? The "amero".

I'm going on a trip to London, Paris, and Rome this summer, so I'm all for this trend.
Also, the pound crashing too. That would be nice.

lol

that's handicapped
US and Canada makes a little bit of sense (even though it's impractical as the American government system is quite different from the Canadian one), but Mexico? Lol. That's like saying South Korea, North Korea, and Japan will merge into a United Pacific or something, it just doesn't work.

So the trip is cheaper, as the USD would be more powerful in relation.

Haha no then I can't get cheap holidays basically everywhere else
