Author Topic: Any User Who Drives, Be Careful This Winter  (Read 1952 times)

Um, I live in florida and what is this "cold weather"?

Snow/ice is a serious driving hazard.

That's the point Destroyer is getting across.

Since us people in Florida don't really get snow/ice as much as many other states, the usefulness is kinda lost unless you go somewhere with snow or ice.

That, and, don't be roostery, either.

Yeah NH is pretty snazzy this time of year.
I had my first car accident last year in similar conditions, and I rear ended somebody at really low speed after sliding on black ice for probably ~40 feet? I pumped the brakes and all that and nothing helped.

I needed to switch cars for this winter, though, because I didn't trust non-snow tires.

as an arizona citizen i'd think ice and snow would be dangerous asf
slipping on ice into the middle of an intersection at a red light or a stop sign or something aaaah

I live in PA, too, and recently had a stuff experience.

Dropping off a friend at his house, I pulled out of his drive which (which is uphill) and I started sliding and lost control. "No biggie" I thought. I kicked on four wheel drive and tried again, just to find that my car started sliding down a giant hill next to his drive way. I had to floor it, or else my car would have been lost to the woods.

Then I hit a ditch, which really sucked, but I got out.

The lesson I learned is that slamming the gas pedal solves all problems.

We had a flash freeze down here a few years ago. One morning I woke up and warmed my car up and went down HW5 on my way to school like usual and slid into a tree after trying to pull a g-curve at 45mph. Roads were frozen, no wonder no one was on the road.

Anyway, glad to see that your safe. People shouldn't drive in these conditions.
But you gotta do what you gotta do.

..i think he was just joking about how he wants it to be colder

I don't know how I misunderstood, but I thought he was asking about the topic. forget me for being so literal, heh.

That ice storm last night really hit out of nowhere. Everyone was talking about how bad the roads were but I worked from 4 to 10 yesterday and the only really bad part was the dirt road out of my job. I guess I got lucky which is nice because ice is the one thing that will make me really not want to drive. The fog was also some of the worst fog I've ever driven in. People that use their high beams in fog are the loving worst, it doesn't help them and it hurts everyone else.

Im gonna get my permits soon, and im doing good. Thing is, Brisbane  is like a mountain is Up and Down. Like forget.

I live in a place that isn't really getting any snow or ice this winter. It's mostly 40 degrees and we're getting every type of weather except snow, ice, or hail.

I guess if his car fell inside the ditch you could say

it was destroyed

no but seriously drive safer than love with a condom and a birth pill

Don't forget about the starfishs that drive. Was driving on a completely flooded road yesterday and someone was riding me. And I'm like.. srsly.. on a flooded road??
