Author Topic: Wall of a million bricks  (Read 5900 times)

Bragging rights.

Seems easy, right? Nope. This was on multiplayer. So, everytime I duped more than 3000 bricks, I lagged for about 2 seconds. So, that's about 6 minutes of lag.
Server is up as we speak, but passworded. Check it out, it probably has the most bricks out of all the servers.
To add, I could have placed more than 1 million bricks. I didn't understand this, and even so, I wanted the server to perfectly have 1 million bricks, so I stuck with that. Also, a server with a trillion bricks would be absolute chaos.

  • Brick limit replaced by $pref::server::ghostlimit - this setting puts a hard limit on the number of ghosted objects in the game and reduces the size of the ghost lookup tables accordingly.
    • The valid values are powers of 2 from 32768 to 1048576, if you set some other value it will automatically round up to next highest power of 2
The max number of bricks has to be a power of 2, and the max is 1048576, which is 220. The next closest is 219, which is only 524288.
The lowest cap is 32768, which is 215.

So you're 48576 bricks from the max.
Congratulations on 1 million though!

Thanks a million
