Author Topic: Snowy Terrain and Cottage  (Read 2424 times)

So recently (but not too recently) I've been trying to work with building terrain and structures because frankly I don't build often and my work isn't necessarily any Pablo Picasso fantastico. So the fact I was able to make this made me happy.

I didn't actually finish the interior of the Cottage because I don't think very well architecturally wise and there wasn't room to put everything I wanted (Like an upstairs bedroom n stuff)

The other cottage to the right (In overview) was made by my friend.

anyways here it is

Of course it is! Silly me.

Nice terrain, I really like this style.

i thought you made it all ;0

I like the style and how it's also sort of simplistic. It doesn't have much detail in it, but it has enough to the job well.
My only complaints would be to add maybe some more items to the mix and work on the terrain a bit. Make it a bit more natural flowing and smooth.
I give it a 8/10

its ok but the terrain is basic, the interior needs work, and do i see that crappy chrome/pearl fx on the roof lmao

thanks a ton, i know there isn't much shown but ive just been getting a mind block from building.

god i hate this kind of terrain. its not particularly bad but it doesn't take that much effort to make better terrain.
try not using cubes and zone bricks.
(i should clarify: not totally hating on this style. its useful but it has annoying traits that can't be rectified unless using lots of extra bricks, and at that point you might as well just not use zone-heightmap style)
i like the trees though; although unrealistically scaled, they're cute and well done.

This. It's just really lazy and shouldn't be highlighted as the focal point of this build.
