Author Topic: Game goes to desktop for no reason (Win 8 problem)  (Read 540 times)

I have been experiencing some problems with windows 8, note it isn't just blockland that this is happening with because I can list a bunch of problems some of my games have been experiencing with windows 8.

So at a really random loving time (usually a time when I am fighting in a Dm) win 8 takes blockland back to desktop and it does this and makes a sound when it does. I am not pressing the windows key nor am I pressing the win key + D (desktop for win 8) but when I am trying to play blockland the game will do this at random and for some reason trying to get back into the game is a pain in the ass because with other games like TF2 and even unreal tournament 2004, when you go to the desktop it takes about 2-5 seconds to get back into the game, but in blockland if I click it sometimes it refuses to put me back into the game and worse I get a stupid windows error "Blockland.exe has stopped working" what has stopped working? I am clicking at a black screen for godsakes does windows hate black, grey and white screens? So when I click blockland on the that bar at the bottom, blockland will take about a minute to get back into the game, what happens is the desktop changes resolution and then turns into a black, grey or white screen and then when it puts me into the game the game freezes for about 15 seconds and then I can play again.

This is not the games fault, this is probably windows because this happens to other games the worst experience with this problem in a game is The sims 1 because when you go back into the game everything is messed up, the textures start loving up and you can't do anything. Please help because this is starting to piss me off badly, imagine you're in the middle of a DM or something that you are trying to do and then windows takes you back to desktop like a bitch.

Does this happen usually around 1-5 minutes after logging in?
If so, I have the exact problem and I have yet to find a reason to the problem.
The only thing I can suggest is to put Blockland into full screen borderless mode to prevent it locking up.

its at a random time, its very unpredictable

I suggest contacting Windows support for this issue.
