My gf's little sister woke up with bruises all over her arm, and she said she had a nightmare about animals biting her, can the brusies be connected to the nightmare, or is it just some sort of blood problem?

Sometimes you can hit yourself in your sleep, I've done it and woken up with bruises but sometimes laying on your arm or leg wrong can cause blood to pool in that area and can create bruises.
