it's human nature for us to be aggressive when you share different beliefs.
Not at all.

It's like Potato Salad 2.0, but it excludes the potatoes and the salads and includes a hell of a lot more nerds.

i wish we could all be more friendlier to each other. unfortunately, it's human nature for us to be aggressive when you share different beliefs.

maybe you should have not been as blunt as you were with your opinion lol

epic random humor for the win XDDDddd!!!!!!!

he's trying to justify being a bitch <:^)>

I don't care if someone disagrees with my opinions. Acknowledging someone else's opinion is a basic communication skill that shouldn't be in lack.  Oasis's response was distasteful.
Ftfy.

I suppose in part to show their support, but also as a means of just pre-ordering the product.

I don't know if there's a guarantee on the price it'll sell for, but it could also be because it might go on sale at a higher price than the donations cost, given its evident popularity.

Ah I see, that must have been the part at the end I missed. My audio messed up and i figured they would have said something like "donate to recieve the product" or something like that.

Hah, yeah. I didn't even watch their video.
Kickstarter offers different rewards for how much you donate, and in most cases where a company is hoping to fund a product they wish to sell, they tend to have the item as at least one of the rewards for donating.

For the Exploding Kittens fundraise, if you donate $20 (lowest amount) you get a deck of the cards, $35 gets you a deck of cards + a deck of NSFW cards (described as more gruesome/horrifying).
Then larger donations got you two of the $35 packages, but 1 is signed (for $100, but only 200 available).
And the largest got you the $100 award, plus the 3 creators each draw you a custom card (for $500, but only 5 available).

So, while not in this case since the additional Collecters Edition rewards are already taken, sometimes people continue to donate larger amounts in order to get a special edition or reward too.
I think in this isntance it's just people buying the product via Kickstarter, to save them missing out should it sell out once the product releases.

It's kinda lame with it's childish 'le epic randum!' humor, but it looks like something a few of my nerdy friends would like, and I wouldn't mind playing the Russian Roulette card game myself.

I would like the game more, but I really do not like the way that The Oatmeal draws.
This, he's hella overrated. His book (borrowed from a friend) was actually decently written and was a good read but the illustration aspect was just stuff-tastic

ALSO THIS. Christ if there's one thing Inman is good at it's that loving handicapped "ecks 2 da dee" humor

This game seems like it would be fun at parties.

It would be cool if they donated some of their ludicrous proceeds to charity.

Oatmeal has this thing about starting a museum dedicated to Nikola Tesla, so I dunno.
Then again, it's technically illegal to not use all the money for it's expected/intended/implied/proposed/advertised/whatever purpose, that being the development & production of the game. Not like it stops anyone else from spending it on other things, though.

Man, I should draw up some crappy doodles to make into a card game and make millions.

I like TheOatmeal and all (I own 2 of his books), but 3,000,000 dollareedoos is a bit excessive for a god-damn card game. Which I'll still buy anyways when it's released.
