INFO

  • Before I start, I would like to say that this idea was developed off of a mini game by an unknown player. I think his name was General, but if not please correct me in the comments. Alright, with that out of the way, I'll start with explaining the basics.
  • There are two teams, the basic Red and Blue format, with each team having one commander. This commander chooses the path for his team, which can be split as seen fit, to reach the enemy side of the map and detonate a bomb killing the enemy commander. Each commander takes turns, starting with the Red Team commander, and can choose special units such as a medic or a juggernaut. Don't worry about these specialized units being overpowered, as they are balanced, but can give your team an advantage in certain situations.
  • The class system is handled in points, allowing for varied game-play. A Tier 1 Item takes 1 point, A Tier 2 takes 2 points and so on, with the max points that the commander can use being 6.
  • The game-play is currently shifting to Top-Down combat, with different classes utilizing different speeds. These speeds are not incredibly different, but allow for more variation in the way you will need to play your class.
  • There are a few more minor details, but I will expand on them as I get closer to finishing the project

*This is still not complete, and things may not look like they will when done. I will be putting up multiple polls for different things I would like public opinion on.
*I realize I kind of slapped this one together, and I will edit it tomorrow when I have more time.

Nice idea, what add-ons are you gonna be using?

I hosted something like this a long time ago, but I know that someone did it before me because that was the reason I made mine. I don't remember his name, but it's like on the tip of my tongue.

I've always wanted to do something like this, but I've never executed it well. Your build is also way better than any build I made for it (granted that was a while ago). I hope this turns out nicely.

hey a server just like this

rky hosted it, he always had a knack to host neat things

like board games
shootouts
and team deathmatches using his own spec wep set

I like the "top-down" feel, we didn't have something like that for a long time.
And the gamemode itself looks really neat and fun.
And I like the way the "rooms" are varied.

I like the feel too, and thats why I originally wanted to use it. I just feel it might not work, though I will wait till I test it out more to see.

I always wanted to do something like this but I was too lazy

I'm thinking of running a test without the special classes sometime, would anyone be up for helping?

This is who I was thinking of.
