lo lwhat the hell does anything but the pioneer reciever and speakers have to do with audio referencing
i dont think music equipment counts.

I don't have much as far as fancy recievers or external DACs or amps or anything. I do have a Behringer UCA222 external soundcard and Sennheiser hd 25s though.

I wouldn't call myself an audiophile apart from the fact that I care about audio compression more than most people probably would. I'll take a lossless format over .mp3 any day of the week.

I'd like to see you tell the difference between AAC 256k and lossless (mp3 is sucky though, even at maximum bitrate)

I know someone who can hear up to 22KHz and even they can't tell the difference

yeah probably not. especially considering i'm monitoring from low end equipment lol. I'd get lossless or aac 256k, it just depends on the circumstances. If I can get both for no difference in price why not go for lossless no matter how minuscule the difference?

Actually never mind I don't think I belong here.

Audio Quality matters to me.

I've got 3 terabytes of 60's pre-ambient as FLAC

800 gigs of live recordings of this local band called the forgeterforgets. They played only 2 shows before breaking up but I had 11 redundant recording rigs all recording FLAC which I then layered over one another for 25,000 kbps bitrate.

8 terabytes of the beatles. No not THOSE beatles, the new beatles. They haven't recorded an album yet and technically they're not really a band yet but they're indie-gospel-post-funk-punk style is going to be huge when you guys hear their stuff in about 5 years.

4 petabytes of the Ethiopian Free Jazz wave that occurred in 1973 in a town called Wenji Gefersi.

18 terabytes of sound check recordings from the mid 90's band LFO. They only scored a hit with "I like girls (who wear abercrombie and fitch)" but they were way ahead of their time.

That's just my C: drive. I have 41 drives.

I'm not all out yet because I don't have the money yet but I have a r-10sw one of my dad's co-worker gave to me after he upgraded (he's a dj for some small club or something) and some Klipsch Image ear-buds
Klipsch thing unintended
also I only rip my cds and stuff in large bitrates or something

I do care about audio quality a lot but I won't sink that much money in for headphones or amplifiers.
