It's not a terrible game, and could've been fixed up and improved easily, why did it die? Was it lack of attention, or did bad spot just wanna focus on blockland?

I've played through skyrim, the majority of the time I spent wasn't repetitive at all. There was a little bit of grinding to get up levels, but I would hardly consider it "repetitive" especially with all the side-quests that you can do.

Probably because the last time this game received an update was
NINE
years ago and was fairly barebones to begin with.
I doubt Badspot ever intended for the game to go anywhere. Probably the only reason we can still play is because he has to run the Blockland master server so leaving the AoT server up isn't a huge deal.
