Author Topic: NOT SANDBOXED  (Read 5934 times)

Hello, I have been having some strange issues with my computer that is somewhat affecting my performance but it is having some strange things happen. I will put up the wierd things that are going on
FIRST: Every now and then an EXE file will pop up for a split second. I caught it in the act when my computer started lagging. When it opens all it says is NOT SANDBOXED and then closes

SECOND: Possible adware. Google chrome keeps automaticaly popping up but hiding itself on the start menu. I looked at my Task Manager and it showed that there are random tabs to ads opening up. I cannot post links because these are innactive tabs that won't work and eventualy close, but I can post the titles
Hand Drawn Car Game - Surly Birds
Ricochet Kills: PP - CLUBGUM

THIRD: There are a bunch of processes titled Qpycndj.exe that are spamming my processes tab. There are currently 15 open rigth now. I can close them but they just start more.

Whoever knows what is going on PLEASE help me. I can provide any extra info if you think it will help. I'm worried because this is my SPARE drive and i can't afford to get any viruses on it.

Definitely run a Malwarebytes scan.

should run it in a sandbox
but yeah run a malwarebytes scan immediately

I'm guessing you don't have an antivirus.

You have Sandboxie running in the background. That's why the window that says "NOT SANDBOXED" pops up.

No I do but I've heard it's not trustworthy
It blocks attacks and removes suspicious files so I keep it anyway

what antivirus
Norton
Edit: Just scanned with McAfee and it found 4 harmful websites
This might be what the problem is
