They aren't that great, the missing day just gets tacked back on. Removes multiple holidays, parts of spring break, and some of summer break. For seniors it pushes their graduation back. Either way that day is being served

Right now in nyc, there is loving ice and snow everywhere and I just got a brain freeze cause its dam cold out there. People are saying that there is school tomorrow but if there is than god knows how people are going to get here, the roads are slippery, cars that have been parked are covered in Ice and whats worse is that the ice is hard, trains have been delayed way too much. And all the mayor is doing know is just "looking" at the weather forecast, honestly if I was the mayor I would cancel everything tomorrow

I've never actually been in a snow situation where school was cancelled because of it. When it snowed it always seemed to be during the weekends. I should consider myself lucky.
But now I live in Florida so it's not going to happen over here.
