you either die a hero

It's not completely going out of buisiness, but it's moving away from consoles and towards mobile devices.

So yeah, pretty much dead.

well that's what happens when you decide to make something like sonic boom

well if they stayed relevant maybe they would be fine. but they spent the better part of the decade acting like nintendo's handicapped cousin.

to be fair they've been dead for awhile now

they'll also be laying off ~300 people

Maybe Nintendo will buy Sonic from Sega before it completely goes under.

im pretty sure that movement happened long ago. also no not pretty much dead either. the console industry is a really tough one and sega lasted decently. no matter how well you do you always lose money in consoles. microsoft and sony barely turn a dime on their console market. in fact i recall them losing a big chunk with their last gen consoles. nintendo is doing even worse compared to both of them. but all three are up and running. sega just couldnt keep up with the big nintendo craze before and backed out quickly before they became completely bankrupt. and it might be because microsoft, sony and nintendo have other big things backing them up unlike sega. sony has a movie studio, microsoft has a whole operating system. nintendo... well who cares theyll end up in the next ditch just like sega when it comes to consoles.

Nonononono.

If that happens, then Sonic will become Mega Man and only be in DLCs and Smash Bros from now on.

Weren't they going towards PC as well?
