Society isn't regressing. Just stop.
In some aspects we regress and improve in others, some problems we have just been blind too and have been with us since our grandparents. One problem that has always been around is domestic abuse.
Another problem that has always been around would be single parent familes, mom and dad have love, dad leaves mom and is never seen again. You ask an old person and then tell you its all these godless child with no morales off having love. The truth is, stuff like that has always been happening.
In many aspects we have improved. The water we drink is generally safer than than say industrial era Europe, we have modern medicine, longer life spans, generally people aren't persecuted as much for their loveual preferences and beliefs. Bad things like persecution while they do occur less and less, they still happen.
