Author Topic: Making Addons For People !  (Read 3339 times)

Don't pay this kid for anything. There are plenty of community members (including myself if you say pretty please) that will do our best to make a suggestion for free.
Well 3 years ago i wanted to have addons of my own so much, but no one made something for me. Modelers made only ideas that they liked so this is why i'm doing this there are people who has ideas that no one wants to make. So those people can PM me and i'll do the hard work for them. btw i don't see any difference between Free to 5$. if you do i highly recommend Get a job !

5 dollars is pretty damn steep for a virtual weapon.

I have both thanks, and I would still do my best to make something for someone if they made a valid and detailed request.

Excuse moi?
Can be as steep as you say, but he's doing >1 hour of work and he's asking 1/4 of actual hourly rates for a finished product.
"But he's only making minor work and he may not be a professional with a PhD in ducks."
Good. Then the price is fair.

I've fallen down the same path as well. While indeed I am barely if at all working on updates for my LeetLegacy add-ons, I have extremely rarely (mostly from the same person really) received requests which paid off by various means. I have instantly began work on those for continuous hours, to the point where I actually wanted to create a commissioning topic of my own (Ala JakeBlade's was it?) but I eventually restrained myself from doing so only because I couldn't think of a proper price sheet. I am not sure since when a freelancer is called a "kid" either way or why are you so special to call someone else a kid.

I am pretty much beyond certain that suggestions and requests are ignored beyond measure. I previously suggested/requested people, and people directly as well, various things, minor even, and have been completely shunned off and ignored, to the point when certain people have even been extremely rude about it. Any person is going to have their moral (/work-ethic) up instantly once they expect monetary value in return. There's a difference between doing something because you wanted to do it and doing something for someone else, especially if you find less value to do so. That's the point of commissions worldwide. It's not that someone can't do it for free, but if you find someone you are more special than Jehovah's Witnesses.
And then again,

If you're going to bloat that you're doing it for free, then please, go ahead and work on all the add-ons you can make from S&R, one after the other, since there's so much work for you apparently. And if you refuse, then kindly take your opinion and shove it in whatever program you work with, save the file, and put it in your portfolio.

Back on topic, while it is indeed a high quality model, without questioning whether you made it or not, the model is extremely high poly, and rather unfitting for Blockland really, but I believe there will be some people that like this poly count anyway for whatever reason, but if you could be more malleable on the style that'd be better for you.
It's however question-worthy why are you posting this using your alt, since you clearly have access to the other account. Additionally who the hell expects to be paid without previous work displayed over something like this. Commissions is where you are expected to up-front give customers proof of your quality, not giving them a piece of paper in a sealed military-grade box in a dark alley, whether the content is good or not.
True, I would deffinitly make better photos ! ;-)

Most of those posts except the ones questioning why you're requesting payment for this would have not existed if you would have used your main account and actually posted some pictures.

I know that was a big mistake..

Sure that's true. But kid, these models are very high quality. okay kid? k kid
they're not even too good. lots of polygons don't make an excellent model.

though i do have to say those blocko strike player models look excellent

I think JakeBlade tried to do this a while ago but didn't get a lot of support.

is it a bad thing that the weapons have high poly, such as laging the game massively or anything like that?

Yes and no.

I wouldn't say much about the lag, since it varies so much, but it's extremely out of style. It's like putting Battlefield 4 models in Minecraft. Overexagerating, but it's the same principle.
It works, and the gun is of quality. But it shouldn't be made, at least not for the prior title.
