One of the worst things you can do during a serious situation is go on the Internet and tell everyone about. There was a fire at my house that was a safe enough distance away that I could have told everyone it was happening. I told everyone after the fact because I was more helpful on the spot than on some random forum. So stop white knighting yourself and realize that all of our posts are actually spot on.

Then forget off. Seriously, if you're angry over something then it's usually reasonable to go and get it out of your system before interacting with other people. Just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you have the right to take out your anger on someone else; just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you shouldn't adhere to common social etiquette.

This is something that seriously annoys me. What makes people think that they can get away with being an starfish just because they're "in a bad mood"? You can't; you're still an starfish, the only difference is that you're a grumpy starfish.

Sorry you got flamed for posting about this. Next time maybe try to insinuate a past tense so it doesn't seems like your father is dying downstairs and your are too busy posting to help.

Also, putting /blogland at the end of the topic title for these types of things isn't too bad an idea.
