More and more of sci fi shows are hitting prim time on big channels. Take Heroes for example, they did a ton of advertising on the sci fi channel for it and I think NBC (which I think owns Sci Fi) decided that the main stream would like it...

Also, chuck, journey man, and bionic woman are all Science fiction, just not the hard core stuff like Dr. who

doctor who is a true sci fi show it is easy to tell heroes is more a scifi nock off it looks like a scifi show but dosnt have the charitoristics of most sci fi shows like stargate sg-1 or doctor who

It's not a sci-fi knock off! Just because it doesn't focus around flying in a shape ship shooting planets and making aliens the speak perfect English although seeing as it took millions of years for humans to speak English it sounds a little stupid that one alien that was born 1 minutes ago by doctor who's handicapped plastic screwdriver that obviously gets broken any time someone touches it but he replaces it really quickly as if it was a normal screwdriver from a discount shop although he often refers to it as "fantastic" which is his handicapped catchphrase that doesn't even tickle my humour could actually speak such a complex language that even modern people today don't get despite it being simplified for them like how slang can nowadays be added to the dictionary like gotten the most handicapped word in the world which can only be used in a few cases anyway so just keep it as slag why not and other words like that and when they get in the "tardis" that is bigger on the inside than on the outside is scientifically proven to not be possible but still they don't stop doing it even though they have had the chance to since Doctor Who started about a billion years ago doesn't mean that it isn't sci-fi.

Sci Fi doesn't mean futuristic, it means basically fiction, but less likely to happen, and not set it real world, though it can be based of the real world...

and yes i am a fan a big fan i like dr who more than my dog which is kinda going on the insane but if you look in gallories at tkb clan builds you'll find out why
