Tomorrow bro. Smack down of the century.

does anyone know why they're trying to land the boosters after they're used up? it seems like a waste of fuel in the end and parachutes might be able to accomplish the same exact thing for more fuel efficiency, and the boosters will still be able to be recovered.
Except that rocket parts are expensive +parachutes aren't magical + you can't be choosy where they will land + probably will have to be in water + salt water damages the rockets.

They're not landing any of their stuff in water lol.

Owait, is that your point?

im saying that they need to land it on barges or land if they want to be efficient

yep, that's exactly his point
that it's worth the extra fuel to avoid having to rebuild the parts, and that there's pretty much no way to accurately get the thing down with parachutes alone.

Figured.

I think KSP may be doing some damage to people's general knowledge of rocketry, lol. Magical parachutes are magical.

Parachutes would be fine if they were landing in a general area in the desert or something.

Not in the middle of the ocean.

No... you'd still hit the ground pretty damn hard. Go look up a video of the Soyuz smashing into the ground.

I nominate Oasis to substitute for himself.

Alright, so it should be today.

In other news, the ESA's mini shuttle had a successful launch and re-entry, so congrats to them.
