Author Topic: [NEWS] Obama Sends War Authorization Draft to Congress Regarding CIA  (Read 6361 times)

because ground forces tend to suffer higher numbers of casualties which is something people tend to want to avoid

i would prefer a million dead US soldiers if we could actually finish a war.
its much easier to recover from that then the mess we create instead.

the only reason CIA exists at all is because we couldnt complete stuff in the iraq war.
we created our own problem. and we will do it again, and again.

I don't think they mean draft in the sense of drafting people
I think it's in the sense of the war authorization was drafted
this is correct

let's get those dune coons

but really dumb dumb dumb

When we send all these drones and airstrikes we kill innocent civilians also.

It'd be impossible to avoid deaths.
yeah of course and those lives matter
the point is that american citizens are going to respond more poorly to american soldiers dying

fair enough i spos

47% of that debt is owned by foreign investors.
As well, one of the highest issues with this debt is the government's support of social insurance. (which in 2013 cost the US $882 Billion.) So by your logic, to stop this debt, we must stop war, and also get rid of everyone over 65 because they are a liability.

Don't blindly bring up something to say "WAR IS BAD" when the national debt is hardly a reason for saying war is bad. You also forget that Congress knows the economy is a fictitious system. They will keep raising the debt ceiling because they can, and it won't effect them or the world as a whole.

The price the US pays for its military may be a bit over the top, but it is nowhere near the main cause of all the debt your nation holds. Nothing is. It's been amassed over years of being a country, and it's pretty normal for a country to be in debt at this point in time, because everyone owes everyone money.
Its a sad day when a non-american blows you the forget out

I can already tell this won't be good. We'll get involved and stuffs going to escalate. Suddenly they will be like "Oh no we need troops what do"

Can the US keep their loving richard in their pants and stop flailing it around because they've got a stiffy for bloodshed?

Everytime you forgeters get involved in warfare, you have to drag Australia in with you. loving annoying.

As an American I can agree with this. I'm also 18 and able to be put into war if required. If a risk of draft comes apparent I'm going to quickly sign up for the Navy to avoid fighting.

Pretty sure I heard that there wouldn't be a draft since we have enough in the army already. Not 100% sure who told me this or if it's legit, but it's what I heard.

Nevermind. There won't be a draft apparently, but you still have to register I assume. Totally slipped my mind.

Join me on a ship full of seamen so we can say forget the war and see the world

The Navy here has multiple things in it. Theres a good portion of it that will never see combat.

if you receive financial aid for college, you are required to sign up for the reserves apparently.

If there's a draft, I'm out.
