Author Topic: [NEWS] Obama Sends War Authorization Draft to Congress Regarding CIA  (Read 6372 times)

we dont need them damn sand monday ho moes anyhow

can't really nuke something that's scattered in several countries without pissing off the rest of the planet
systematically target every CIA individual and send tiny bombs to them

The cool thing is that other Arab countries like Jordan and Saudi Arabia are against CIA as well, so this might be a diplomatic step forward.

Does everyone want to get involved in a war with them? Their actions are deplorable but the Kurds are doing a good job of containing them, and they've got enemies on all sides. Even if they do hold out, they'll probably end up collapsing because of their own brutality
To a lesser degree one might compare CIA to North Korea, and it held out for over half a century.  *Still holding out, more or less.

My facepalm toward the stuff said in this thread is too great to comprehend.

well they been our friends for long time already. so nothing new will come of that.

Can we just do pull a Mossad and spend the next decade using special forces to systematically kill the upper echelons of CIA? Less danger to the average troops, more cost effective too.

This thread is just the epitome of ignorance.

I'm just waiting for someone to stupidly call it a Crusade.

not to mention the whole 'fallout being further scattered by air' thing

also to the people who are bringing up numbers for, say, expensive vehicles like the abrams or even the aircraft carriers, you're forgetting that we don't dismantle our entire army every time a war ends. we still have ~6,000 abrams tanks, 40 AC-130s (gunships), almost 1000 F-16s, about a dozen aircraft carriers, etc.

you should be looking at maintenance, not the initial pricetag.

right now, everyone's talking about how you have to enlist at 18 in the US, and if there was a war there's a possibility of going to battle. Which many people, like me, do not want.

??????????????

you have to sign a paper that says you can be drafted if need be, but where the hell are you getting the idea that you have to enlist at age 18 in the US?

technically if we officially declare war on them wouldn't that count as recognizing their independence?

looks like freedom is coming

This thread is just the epitome of ignorance.
sadly, is twenty years of peace too much to ask for? Let NATO or the EU handle for once. All we should do I just offer limited aid to Peshmerga and Middle Eastern allies.

Also this event isn't even draft worthy, the US military has enough people. The only event that could trigger an such thing would either be WW3, or when we get invaded.

I don't want to see another war like the next guy, but I hate draft dodgers. They are always the ones that suck up to the government, their political parties, but when stuff hits the fan, they go break all ties and run to leave the rest of us in the mess they made.

The authorization I propose would provide the flexibility to conduct ground combat operations in other, more limited circumstances, such as rescue operations involving U.S. or coalition personnel or the use of special operations forces to take military action against ISIL leadership.
