Measles apparently spread to D.C, New Jersey, Nevada, & Delaware

Yeah, fairly late but I just found this and I live very close to D.C so I'm worried but not for me catching it as I'm vaccinated because my parents were smart when I was born. So apparently it has spread to D.C, Nevada, New Jersey, & Delaware with small cases (5 total from those areas). I swear I just want to meet someone who is anti-Vax and show them what measles does. I just hope that this doesn't end up like Ebola where immature idiots would shout "OMGZ HE GOTZ E-BOLA!" if you coughed.
So, Apparently vaccinated people can get infected with measles but it is fairly rare at like 3% or something. Wearing my gas mask and chemical suit as my clothes now.I'm joking about the gas mask and chemical suit thing.

people used to take their kids to chicken pox parties, so maybe they think the principle is the same, i.e. infect kids while they're young so they don't get it when it's dangerous

except measles is much more serious and damaging

Well, in the absence of vaccines, this is the best thing to do because it allows kids' immune systems to develop immunity to it before they hit puberty / adulthood where these kinds of infections can cause real problems like impotence. However, really, vaccines are the best way to go.

My grandpa got measles twice. Then his daughter (my mom) had chicken pox twice (and shingles last month). I'm not sure what this means.
