lincoln got some good rep for all that ending slavery stuff.
but that was a tactic to help force-end the war in his favor. he did jack stuff for equal rights afterwards.
i mean i get it, 1 step at a time. but in the bigger picture he didnt seem to really give a forget about black people.

Idk, it's been argued that a lot of the tribal stuff he's said in speeches was to help make him appear more moderate and gain the support of more Southern Democrats. That or he was just tribal.
