Author Topic: Train Derailment in West Virginia  (Read 982 times)

W. Virginia = Worst Virginia, what do you think the W stands for?

Train derailments are very serious and I'm glad to see they have evacuated civilians. Just hope it wasn't carrying chemicals.

After reading article further:

it was carrying crude oil, that stuff will get EVERYWHERE.

i just hope no one derails this thread

i can tell you why this happened

see in west Virginia one of the rails will be higher than the other so that when they're on a mountain its straight

and apparently someone forgot to make one of the rails taller

Does this mean my shipment of bootleg moonshine isn't coming?

~Living rooms, bedrooms, crude oil~

like every thread on drama??

Damn trains always falling off the tracks!
But seriously, this is bad. At least they knew what they were doing.

This is why we should be using pipelines. The crude oil from fracking and the tar sands are more likely to explode than normal crude oil making transporting it by rail pretty dangerous.

Vice actually did a video on why transporting this new crude oil by rails is pretty dangerous. It's a bit over dramatic but I think it still shows why it's an awful idea.
