Author Topic: Any way to unlink or delete account.  (Read 908 times)

This is an old account linked to an old BLId. Is there anyway to delete an account? I need to use my email to make a new one. But its taken with this one.

Nope. But I don't think there's anything stopping you from just making a new account with the same email.

I think it would be much less of a hassle to make a new email.

Id rather not. Can I maybe email Badspot?

Pretty sure you can change the email on your account and then use the email it originally used to make a new account.
If you're using an email service that allows aliases, add + (example for Gmail) after the name and type whatever you want between it and the @ sign.
For example, example+something@gmail.com.

Can't say the same thing about the Blockland key linked to your forum account. You will need to repurchase Blockland.
Badspot doesn't unbind keys from accounts, except for one time.

Edit: removed note to re-verify your email. You only need to verify it when creating your account.

He's not gonna delete your account, man. Just make a new account with the same email. Nothing bad will happen. If you absolutely must not use the same email on two accounts, just change the email on this account to some random email that probably nobody has.

Pretty sure you will still need to verify it. I may be wrong though.

Tried it, I'm wrong. Also see post below.

You don't have to. Email verification, as in the thing where you click a link in an email that gets sent to you, is rarely used when changing email addresses. When it is, it's usually for something that has a pretty big reason to prioritize security, like Steam. What that form means by "valid" email address is that it has to be something that could, hypothetically, be an actual email address. That is, something like "dargie@gmail.com" as opposed to something like "wtf[@hi..net"

Seeing there being no way to delete accounts. I gave TheAnonymousVipar to my brother. Seeing as the linked key was his. (Family Account. I have my own now.) I linked it to his email. And made this. Problem solved!

Good to hear. I think I remember seeing you in game a couple days ago.
