Also cloning should be highly illegal considering all the nasty diseases that can incubate in such a lack of genetic diversity

Sure, i think cloning should be legal. We just have to not give in to our human nature and discriminate against clones when they finally do hit the scene. And not treat them un-ethically like lab rats.
