To be frank his tv show pitch is garbage. There was no humor or wit, it was just an awkward gag-a-second with lazy writing. It makes sense that Adult Swim of all places would humor his honestly awful pitch because giving people who wouldn't normally have the means to make a show a platform is sort of their thing, and it's pretty silly that he let something like that go to his head.

I'm not one to be a naysayer because it's cool that people get chances like that but his show had basically no humor value and nobody else wanted to say it.
