Death is a penalty that fits no crime

The death penalty should be the only option

i feel like i should say yes but i mean.. wouldn't it just suck way more to sit in jail your whole life? death is a release for a bad guy

Death penalty should be reserved solely for convicts that cannot be rehabilitated.

No human has the right to intentionally deprive someone else of life. Regardless of how many people they've killed or whatever horrible crime they've committed, they're still human beings and have some reason for their actions, whether it be misguided ideology, mental problems, anger issues, etc. Even if rehabilitation isn't an option, it isn't right for us to decide whose life matters more than another, or who should die and who should live.

I believe death penalty should be available but require the prisoners consent in order to carry out.

death is a release for a bad guy

Would you put down a rabid dog or put it in a cage for the rest of it's life

Would you put down a rabid dog or put it in a cage for the rest of it's life
difference is, one's a dog, and one's a human

difference is, one's a dog, and one's a human

They're both crazy and dangerous

They're both crazy and dangerous
but one is a human
if you can just compare humans with dogs then you can do a whole bunch of stuff that violates basic human rights

they're still human beings and have some reason for their actions, whether it be misguided ideology, mental problems, anger issues, etc.
They are still responsible for their actions. If I'm in a warzone and some jihad is about to shoot me, I'm not going to sit there and try to talk to him about how its his misguided ideology making him shoot me. I'm going to shoot first.
They're both crazy and dangerous
Not dangerous if they are in a prison cell.

Even if rehabilitation isn't an option, it isn't right for us to decide whose life matters more than another, or who should die and who should live.

It's not about 'what's right' anymore. Hemorrhaging federal funds on convicts who cannot be rehabilitated simply because it's not "right" to put them down despite them being a complete threat to society as whole is simply handicapped. Why is that not right, yet it's totally okay to force them to live in such an awful environment like the prisons they're incarcerated in for life?
